Animal Rescue Center

Under “Prevention of cruelty against animals Act” 1960. The Government of India has banned the exhibition of Wild animals such as Lions, Tigers, Bears and Monkeys in circuses and public places. S.V. Zoological Park is one among the 7 Zoos selected for the establishment of Animal Rescue Centers (ARC) in the year 1999.The Rescue Centre will be like an orphanage where improved upkeep and health care will be provided to the rescued animals which is being funded by the Central Zoo Authority (CZA).At present there are 3 lioness in the Animal Rescue Centre of S.V.Zoological Park,Tirupati .
